The Center for disability services is looking for a Physical Therapist to contribute to the mission of the Center, Clinical Department and assigned programs by working collaboratively with program directors and interdisciplinary team members to ensure equality, state-of-the-art, cost-effective services to all individuals served and their families.
The PT will have the ability to select appropriate evaluation tools and to interpret results of evaluation and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Knowledge of basic sciences, anatomy, normal and abnormal human development, clinical theory and treatment techniques/approaches and professional act and APTA standards of practice. Knowledge of education theory and curriculum (specific to Education programs) Keyboarding skills adequate to prepare ICPs, IEPs, and/or IFSPs, evaluation reports and forms.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in the field of Physical Therapy, NYS Licensure and registration to practice Physical Therapy and less than 1 year of job related experience, specifically in PTA. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
