Winn Army Community Hospital is a 112-bed community hospital which will feature a new Women’s Health and Mammography Center in 2010. Our healthcare team provides primary and specialty care for a patient population of over 70,000. As a civilian pediatrician you will play an integral role in providing exceptional healthcare to the Soldiers and Families in our great Army and the 3rd Infantry Division. Key supporting specialties at Winn include OB/Gyn, general and orthopedic surgery, EENT, Psychiatry, Dermatology, and Urology. As staff Pediatrician you will be responsible for both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care with a focus primarily on outpatient care. Your practice will include approximately 21 outpatient appointments per day. Inpatient coverage includes a 21-bed Family Care Unit, 19-bed Same Day Surgery Unit while also covering on the newly renovated Labor/Delivery and Mother/Baby Units.

Winn Army Community Hospital promotes family involvement in patient care through the Patient and Family Centered Care environment. The nurse to patient ratio standards is five patients or less but basically remains stable at a 1:3 average. Pediatric Physician rotate on-call schedules.


The incumbent must be a board eligible or board certified pediatrician.
