College Degree, Graduate of an AMA accredited Physician Assistant or Surgical Assistant Program. NYS Physician Assistant Registration
NCCPA Board Certified or NCCPA Board Eligible. Board Certification within two years to continue employment.
BCLS and ACLS certification within one year of employment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Physician Assistant needed to assist in the clinical care of patients
including but not limited to obtaining history, performing physical
examination/diagnostic and therapeutic tasks, writing an assessment and
plan, writing admission orders and daily management orders and
counseling patients and making referrals.
Requires organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks; must
independently perform basic patient care procedures; requires excellent
interpersonal skills to function as “team” member and sustain working
relationships with attending physicians, nurses, patients and their
families, and to maintain confidentiality.
