HealthCare Partners may be the employer for you. We are currently seeking a Physician Services Consultant
Responsible for providing practice management consulting to our affiliated physicians to improve office operational efficiency and productivity while providing cost savings and revenue enhancing services. Helps providers with billing and collection issues, electronic medical records concerns, reductions to cost structure, growth of patient base, improved data collection and outcomes and financial stability for the practice.
° One or two years of post-high school education or a degree from a two-year college.
° Over 5 years and up to and including 7 years of experience in physician office management and transitioning offices into managed care.
° Computer literate.
° Microsoft Office applications skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
° Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
° Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
° Broad knowledge of physician office operations and market dynamics.
° Experience in practice management as it pertains to understanding claims process, coding and CMS regulations.
° Familiar with billing systems and a good understanding of HMO provider reimbursement mechanisms.
° Understanding of CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding systems.
° General electronic medical records knowledge.
° Solid healthcare knowledge and very familiar with managed care initiatives including P4P.
° Knowledge of marketing in a managed care environment.
° Flexible and critical thinking skills needed to improve processes without impacting current flow.
° Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with all levels of staff.
° Valid California driver’s license and the ability to commute between HealthCare Partners’ sites.
° Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
