    Set Salary: $75.92 per hour

    Job Summary:
    Perform quality control procedures on treatment planning systems and performs quality assurance on teletherapy and branchytherapy treatment plans. Perform periodic calibration and quality control procedures of radiotherapy equipment and radiation sources and maintain documentation of the procedures and results for quality assurance. Perform acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment and gathers data needed for treatment planning. Perform computerized treatment planning for teletherapy and brachytherapy; check physics sections of patients charts; and perform patient-specific in vivo dosimetry and patient specific quality assurance. Provide physics support for 3D conformal and intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), total body irradiation (TBI), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), eye treatment and other special procedures. Provide physics support for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or e-chart systems. Teach graduate-level courses in radiation physics and labs to residents, radiation therapy students and dosimetry students. Consult with physicians and technologists on the physics aspects of treatment delivery and planning. Stay current with new techniques in medical physics and dosimetry through seminars, teaching, attending professional meetings and attaining medical physics continuing educational credits. Participate in research and development projects.

    Job Specifications: Masters in Medical Physics or Physics + 3 years of experience in Radiation Therapy Physics.
    Must have the following Specialized Skills:
    * 3D conformal and IMRT treatment planning
    * Calibration, commissioning and acceptance testing of radiation producing equipment, including proton beams.
    * QA of machines and software, and testing of imaging equipment.
    * Patient specific QA and in vivo dosimetry
    * Stereotactic Radiosurgery
    * Total Body Irradiation
    * ABR Certification required.
