The Pilot is responsible for operating the helicopter in a safe, efficient manner.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2,500 hours of helicopter flight time, including at least 1500 total hours in turbine powered helicopters of which not less than 50 hours have been in our model, or has successfully completed the manufactures recommended ground and flight school. Two hundred hours of night and mountain flying experience required. FAA Instrument Rating.
Two hundred hours of EMS flight experience.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Current FAA Commercial Instrument or ATP Helicopter Pilot’s Certificate
First or Second Class FAA Medical Certificate
Current California Driver’s License
Eligible to be insured under the Medical Center’s Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum age 21)
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Demonstrates technical competence, sound operational judgment and leadership capabilities. Possesses communication skills necessary to effectively work with medical crew, communicate with dispatch center, and deal with public service personnel as well as the general public. Motivated to maintain and improve the quality and image of Enloe Flight Care.
