A Pipe Welder is a hands-on position primarily assigned to welding piping, fittings, etc. under the direction of the Superintendent; he/she is responsible for the installation and repair tasks that are assigned to him/her. As with all Dynamic Industries employees, he/she is responsible for representing the company in a professional manner and maintaining our core safety values.
Field Assignments are currently located in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Texas. Individuals will generally work 12 hours a day with 21 days on, 7 days off. Per Diem with living accommodations provided while on field assignment. Flame Retardant Clothing will be provided on a yearly base (3 sets) by the company. All PPE will be provided by Dynamic Industries; employee is responsible for steel toe footwear. Dynamic Industries offers a benefits package to include a 401k.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead
- Operate safety equipment and use safe work
- Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and
assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares,
calipers, and rulers.
- Examine work pieces for defects and measure work
pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power
tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc
- Weld separately or in combination, using
aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt
component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
- Select and install torches, torch tips, filler
rods, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or types and
thicknesses of metals.
- Ignite torches or start power supplies and
strike arcs by touching electrodes to metals being welded, completing
Candidates must have 3+ years experience, able to TIG & Stick weld, and have working knowledge of mechanical piping and process piping systems. Experience may be substituted for those with vocational education and successful weld test. Must pass 6G Stick and TIG pre-employment weld test.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
