Terms of Employment: Permanent / Full Time
Salary: Negotiable dependent upon qualification and experience
Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipe lines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods.
Cut, thread, and hammer pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders and benders.
Select type and size of pipe required
Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints
Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
Modify, clean, and maintain pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Journeyman certificate and/or 4 years hands-on experience
Preference will be given to those possessing two or more years related piping maintenance experience in oil, gas or power generation industries
Rigging experience is essential and fitting up large bore piping is an asset
Spoken and written English skills
