The Digital Planner is responsible for planning and managing the daily digital marketing activities on assigned account (s).

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in digital media strategy development for top tier clients
  • Develop and manage digital media plans; negotiate and purchase media
  • Maintain responsive working relationship with client as well as with appropriate staff at client agencies and vendors.
  • Manage the day-to-day implementation, and optimization of campaign activities
  • Manage campaign authorizations, budgets, and reconciliation process
  • Interact daily and maintain rapport with digital media Publishers (Yahoo!, AOL, MSN, Google, etc)
  • Analyze research data and media/marketing information; issues and reports information to clients
  • Manage creative process with key stakeholders. Operate as liaison with client’s creative resources and other vendors
  • Monitor and assess ongoing campaign performance; assist in strategic analysis of campaigns

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with campaign management/ad serving technology: Double Click DART, Atlas DMT
  • Preferred working knowledge of third party Internet marketing research: comScore Media Metrix, Nielsen NetView, @Plan, NetRatings, and others
  • Experience managing multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects. Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Required PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong written, verbal communication and negotiation skills. Good presentation skills a plus
  • Experience analyzing data and market research
  • Familiarity with basic accounting/math principles; basic statistical analysis experience is a plus
  • 2 - 4 years experience in a jr. level media planning/buying position at Initiative or an advertising/media agency
  • Preferred experience in both digital and traditional media. 2 years working within the Internet space preferred
