Planner and Scheduler

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Position Type: Full time

Schedule: Must be open to working any shift/schedule: days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc. Steady shift will be determined at time of hire.

Position Summary:

The Planner and Scheduler will be responsible for development of project planning and scheduling systems and methodology to ensure each project team develops consistent formats for project schedules. While working with Project Managers and Construction Managers, you will be responsible for ensuring that schedules are measurable, value based, maintained, and updated consistently.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Planner and Scheduler role
· Scheduling experience in the Construction Industry (Semiconductor preferred)
· Experience and knowledge in Primavera P6 software as well as Microsoft Project and Excel
· Well developed technical communication skills, as well as strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to understand customer process and assume responsibility for customer satisfaction.
· Flexibility to work on shifts (8 to 12 hours), overtime, stand-by, on-call, holidays, etc when required.
· Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
· Basic computer skills and internet access
Development of Project Planning and Scheduling systems and methodology to ensure each project team develops consistent formats for project schedules. These schedules should be measurable, value based, as well as maintained and updated regularly and consistently, as part of standard project executions.
· Prepare project status reports on a monthly basis, reporting on each project’s performance against planned progress, indicating variances and corrective actions required.
· Produce and maintain project schedules.
· Train and mentor junior staff; manage planning and scheduling staffs’ continued education and career development.
· Stay abreast of leading software and revisions, and when appropriate, present to Management recommendations for improvement.
· Support the Project Managers and Construction Managers in the development of their project schedules to ensure that each project has a measureable execution plan documented in their schedule that meets or exceeds the client’s expectations.
· Develop, in conjunction with the preconstruction team, cash flow projections aligned with a value based project schedule that will measure the earned value of the project progress.
· Cooperate with the Functional Manager – Project Management/Execution Systems in the development of project controls and performance metrics.
· Assist in the analysis of modifications to the to the construction schedule.
· Monitor and document monthly progress.
· Prepare monthly project schedule status reports.
· Prepare time impact analysis studies.
· Integrate project specific schedules into master schedule.
· Other duties as assigned

· The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or maneuver in areas of confined width and height space working in or around cramped mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards workspaces
· The employee must have strong manual dexterity as he/she is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance as you may be required to work at elevated heights (i.e. on ladders, stools, or other assistive devices)
· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus with strong hand to eye coordination
· Ability to work in constrictive attire, wearing appropriate personal protective safety equipment as required, and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Capacity to work rapidly for long periods of time when needed, including routinely bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and standing in one location
