Duties and Responsibilities

Performs work in support of ASU's enrollment management, financial aid planning, academic planning, strategic planning and budget planning efforts under direction of a senior analyst or superior. Develops and analyzes forecast models to enrollment, financial aid, and budgets planning. This includes the use of various ASU data sources as well as external data sources. Participates in preparation of statistical and written reports and presentations.

Develops predictive models that support enrollment, academic, and financial planning efforts and decision-making; assists coordinate the compilation of data for special management, policy studies, and/or research activities; analyzes and interprets quantitative and qualitative data; reviews results with senior analyst or designee for validation; maintains and develops data files for use in special studies; selects, and/or recommends appropriate research design methodologies, data analyses, and statistical procedures; may determine appropriate methodology to be used for particular project(s); communicates with internal and external constituencies to obtain necessary information; prepares drafts of technical reports and presentations for review; incorporates suggestions to write and prepare final versions; utilizes a variety of statistical computer programs and software to perform data computation, and statistical analysis of critical and/or key metrics; as requested, explains analyses, plans, or analytical reports to senior administrators. Performs other duties upon request.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of experience in financial or information analysis; OR, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of: predictive analytics and statistical modeling principles, methods and practices; relational database, spreadsheet, statistical, and presentation software packages. Experinece in: developing forecast and tracking models that integrate disparate statistical and financial information; analyzing complex data/problems; verbal and written communication to include graphic presentation of data; interpersonal relations; working environment subject to quickly changing and potentially conflicting priorities; identifying appropriate data sources; extracting and manipulating data from multiple and diverse database sources by designing, refining and running complex data queries.
