The Position Birchbox ’s eCommerce Analyst will develop reporting tools, analyze sales, forecast inventory needs and tackle other projects to support our quickly growing ecommerce business. This role will lead our efforts to dig deep into our sales and sampling history to understand what drives our sales and how we can continue to grow our business efficiently. As the third member of our newly formed planning team you will play an integral role in building a scalable planning strategy and infrastructure. Specifically you will: • Take personal ownership over the creation and analysis of ad hoc reporting • Build tools using Excel to enhance our ability to analyze our business • Become our expert for understanding data integrity issues (taking a hands-on approach to maintaining accurate data, identifying limitations and developing solutions) • Support the team to make the best decisions when ordering inventory • Design and test new metrics for analyzing sales data and creating actionable insights Skill Requirements: • BA plus 1-3 years of analytics experience in Finance, Consulting or Ecommerce • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills • Experience with VBA and SQL (or eagerness to learn) You hellip; hellip;..have stellar data analysis skill – you are regularly responsible for retrieving data, organizing it, and presenting it in a clear, concise way hellip;.can ’t help but notice the tiniest details and are relentless about getting them right; no job is too small hellip;..are never satisfied with the status quo and are always looking for the most effective and efficient method of getting work done hellip;..are a quick study; when a new skill is needed to do your job more effectively, you take the initiative to teach yourself hellip;..have an entrepreneurial spirit and are energized by the opportunity to take ownership of projects About Birchbox Birchbox is changing the way consumers discover and purchase grooming, beauty, and lifestyle products.
