The Ridgeview Plant Controller provides financial, administrative, information systems, and security leadership to the manufacturing facility. This position reports directly to the plant leader with strong reporting accountability for driving results to the segment manufacturing financial leader. The Plant Controller will be responsible for maintaining a control environment that complies with the Company’s internal control policies and Sarbanes Oxley. The Plant Controller is expected to be a dynamic leader on the plant leadership team by contributing to all areas of plant management. The position is an important part of the financial talent pipeline and serves as a feeder for larger plants as well as corporate roles (i.e. Mfg Financial Leader, Segment Analyst, etc.). This individual may also be responsible for leadership of non-financial plant administrative processes such as sourcing, information systems, scheduling, warehouse and shipping (location dependant).

    • Participates in the development of operational objectives for the plant that are aligned to Corporate and Division strategic objectives
    • Leads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement and corrective actions to ensure facility financial results and shareholder value is optimized.

    2. Financial and Operational Controls
    • Ensures that there is an effective and efficient system of internal controls including; data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems and adherence to corporate policies and governmental regulations (GAAP, SOX compliance, etc.)
    • Drives a robust representation letter process that provides assurance and visibility to a sound internal control environment.
    • Leads the Continuous Sign-off process to ensure that accountability for internal controls is clear and that processes are documented.

    • Leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes
    • Prepares and delivers the plant financial forecasts and projections
    • Monitors the plant’s monthly closing process in conjunction with the Accounting team

    Job Requirements


  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or relevant discipline a required. An MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in providing leadership to organizations within a manufacturing operation(s)—leading operations planning, savings, forecasting and investment analysis is required.
  • Operating in a range of economic conditions, i.e. expansion, contraction, stable economic conditions—forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis and contingency development.
  • Delivering continuous improvement.
  • Participating in the development of strategic plans.
  • Negotiating, developing and evaluating customer and supplier contracts

  • Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated analytical ability accompanied by knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles—understands P&L and balance sheet dynamics
    • Demonstrated ability to teach and communicate in simple, impacting terms
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and control costs—effectively develops business cases and enroll leaders at all levels in taking appropriate action.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and intimate knowledge of customers, competition, and the market and uses this knowledge to drive customer and product profitability decisions.
    • Main plant contact for Information Systems team
    • This position is also responsible for month end closing activities, accounts payable processing & foreign wire transfers, weekly and monthly sales recording, all ledger reconciliations, the plant gain sharing calculations, and all fixed asset activities.
