In this role, you will:

Essential Responsibilities
  • Direct the activities of all gas turbine and steam turbine outages including work scope, spare parts, turbine parts refurbishment and task supervision of Field Engineers, Service Managers and Craft Labor
  • Coordinate with the Shift Supervisors regarding plant operations / interfacing with maintenance to assure maintenance actions are appropriate for proper plant operation
  • Manage all GE equipment TILs, FMIs, CM&Us, PAC cases and drawing requests
  • Manage all aspects of engineering / control systems maintenance for the power plant
  • Assist Maintenance Manager in implementation of maintenance programs
  • Act as an engineering resource for Operations and Maintenance
  • Initiate required modifications & retrofit projects
  • Coordinate performance monitoring to optimize output & minimize heat rate
  • Diagnose & resolve plant O&M operating problems
  • Responsible for the control of all GE documents, including instruction books, P&IDs, elementary diagrams and site layout
  • Assist in any phase of operations as required
  • Assist in the development / recording of operating data
  • Assist in the training / development of personnel
  • Support purchasing as needed, including vendor contacts & evaluation
  • Assist in implementation of safety & environmental programs including overseeing proper operation of the plant in accordance with permits & licenses
  • Assist in the implementation of plant projects by providing engineering guidance, project management, task supervision, plant documentation and training as required

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years plant operations / maintenance experience
