Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Perform preventative maintenance tasks to support production operations in a fast paced environment.
Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic/hydraulic problems on all plant equipment.
Complete work orders in a timely manner to the highest quality standards.
Daily scanning of all work performed and downloading at the end of the day - effective shift pass-downs and detailed log book entries.
Troubleshoot equipment problems accurately and efficiently
Possess effective verbal and written communications.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Maintain complete personal tool inventory necessary to perform job functions.
Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines.
Support plant’s Continuous Improvement Program.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualified candidates will have good oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with key coworkers, including department managers, line operators, quality assurance personnel and contractors.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of industrial technologies certificate program preferred.
3-5 years progressive technical experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, preferably in dairy or blow-mold industry.
Knowledge of policies, standards and specifications including safety policies and procedures for safe equipment operation.
Possess and understand use of a Volt-Ohm meter.
Basic knowledge of motor control circuits.
Basic knowledge of AB PLC’s
Apply basic TIG welding on stainless steel.
Competent with arc and gas welding, brazing and soldering.
Set up and operate drill press and grinders.
Working knowledge of industrial refrigeration operations, boiler systems and water treatment/conditioning systems highly desirable.
Able to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics and service manuals.
Experience with high speed packaging, labelers, and industrial inkjet printers preferred.
