Job Responsibilities: -Learns to Comply w/Regulatory Requirements -Develops general understanding of OSHA, EPA, EEOC, FDA, and other pertinent federal, state, and local regulations -Learns typical permit operating requirements and methods utilized to ensure and document compliance -Learns and uses incident investigation and reporting procedures -Conducts regulatory training as requested by plant manager Documents training -Learns EEOC requirements and participates in interviewing and hiring decisions -Learns to Operate the Plant Safely and Reliably -Learns to articulate company safety standards Develops familiarity w/applicable HSE policies and procedures and demonstrates use while assisting plant manager w/administration of policies -Develops detailed understanding of LIVES requirements -Reads and understands Key Operating Documents (KODs) Displays understanding of content and significance of each document Learns appropriate nomenclature to maintain updated red-lines at all times -Develops process troubleshooting skills under the supervision of the plant manager Suggests process improvements for consideration -Learns to contribute to positive customer relationships -Develops familiarity w/product quality processes and requirements -Learns capabilities of computerized maintenance system and assesses predictive and preventative maintenance plan impact on plant operations -Participates in updating the plant process hazard analysis -Learns and uses the MOC process -Learns to Develop and Lead People -Models exemplary safety behavior, leads by personal example -Works to achieve "Zero Accidents" by taking a leadership role in safety -Participates in annual performance review process by auditing job profiles for accuracy and applicability and generating necessary documentation to set up performance evaluations -Provides candid constructive input to management decisions and actively supports those decisions -Develops familiarity w/administrative and operational policies and procedures -Completes Personal Development System goals as defined in annual review and Plant Manager Associate training program -Manages Costs -Understands, monitors and optimizes operating costs w/in authorized budget -Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs -Documents annual cost savings personally generated -Develops familiarity w/common accounting practices and tools -Develops potential projects and enters in the Evergreen Capital Planning database Develops understanding of the Evergreen Capital process -Learns to utilize efficiency and availability indicators to optimize plant performance -Develops familiarity w/national purchasing agreements and frame agreements and other procurement policies General Requirements: -Technical and working understanding of the plant process - ASU, Syngas, Cogen or CO2 -Familiarity w/regulatory requirements for operating plants, including Process Safety Management, OSHA regulations, EPA regulations, EEOC guidelines, FDA regulations (where applicable), state and local requirements -Learns and participates in root cause analysis investigations -Computer literacy - familiarity w/MS Office package, able to remotely access Intranet and learn to use internal systems such as Pilgrim, Evergreen Capital Planning, Maximo and Oracle Cost Reporting -Trainable on Distributed Process Control (DCS) operation and troubleshooting -Able to deliver and explain training material to operating personnel -Extremely organized and effective at time management - able to establish and maintain a plant filing system and control of engineering documents Ability to read and red-line key operating documents -Displays mechanical and electrical aptitude for equipment operation and troubleshooting -Working knowledge of commercial agreements and AL customer relations -Excellent communication and team leadership skills -General understanding of accounting principles and working knowledge of plant operating budget - Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate -On call nights, weekends and holidays as required -Frequent travel - typically 9 to 12 trips per year -Willing to relocate at least twice for promotional opportunity
