We are currently assisting our client; a Fortune 500 company, located in Oregon with a Plant Manager Search. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership on issues such as safety, staffing, production, continuous improvement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and plant efficiencies. This position will be responsible for continually driving process improvements in the manufacturing area as well as in support functions. Successful candidates must have a passion for quality, on-time/complete orders, and correct production requirements.

  • Ensure that product shipments are on time, complete and correct
  • Ensure the plant is meeting production, capacity and inventory targets
  • Ensure all products meet quality requirements, and support the quality assurance processes in the facility
  • Provide leadership and vision in the area of lean practices implementation and continuous improvement culture
  • Provide leadership to ensure projects are completed on time and provides value to its customers
  • Manage current KPI/Metrics, to communicate plant information and generate reporting to all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and production methods
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
  • 10 years of manufacturing management and 5 years P&L experience with knowledge of production processes in high volume seasonal manufacturing plant
  • Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing
  • Knowledge of process control, quality assurance, and manufacturing application in a high paced production environment
  • Thorough understanding of labor, overhead and variable cost control principles
  • 135,000 – 160,000
