Kerry Ingredients is seeking a Plant Manager for our site in Flemington, New Jersey.
Job Duties: - Plan, develop, and implement policies and procedures with the goal of continuous facility improvement in the areas of Safety, Quality, Sanitation and Operating Costs. - Analyze operating budget reports to identify areas in which reductions can be made to maximize manufacturing food ingredient product output and thereby profits for facility. - Analyze data and manufacturing operations of food products to coordinate activities of plant departments to produce quality dry blended seasoning products with high operational efficiency and low product waste. - Direct safety committee activities, specific to the food manufacturing industry, in coordination with the Safety Manager to ensure OSHA compliance, safety awareness, adherence to safety policies and procedures, facility and equipment maintenance and control of worker’s compensation losses. - Confer with departmental managers to propose and manage a capital expenditure plan for the plant and effectively communicate plan to the Executive Committee of the SBU. - Report to all employees on performance or other pertinent information by conducting plant meetings or through daily employee interaction.
Requirements: The minimum requirements for this position are a bachelor’s, or its foreign equivalent, in Operations, Engineering, Food Science or related field plus 6 years of progressively responsible, post-baccalaureate experience in a related position. Additionally, the applicant must have: senior management experience in a large scale food production environment; experience in food processing and packaging equipment specifically dry blending and seasoning processing; experience in developing performance metrics; and experience in FDA, GMP’s, HACCP, and OSHA.
