As a Plant Systems Support Technician you will be responsible support of plant controls, automation, and material loadout at our New Jersey asphalt plants and scale-house locations.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

Configure, deploy and maintain plant system hardware including PCs, Winterms, and Libra plant control equipment.

Provide support for GPS tracking solutions, remote ticketing, RFID readers, Zebra printers, and scale-house/asphalt plant weigh scales.

Setup and integration of new plant control systems. Coordinate systems installation with Electrical Department personnel, plant managers, and third party vendors.

Work outside of normal business hours as needed, including participation in the plant after-hours phone support rotation.

The ability to lift 25-50 pounds.

Maintain and develop thorough documentation of systems in use at plant and scale-house sites.

Education / Professional Experience

2 or 4 year computer science degree or equivalent.

Experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferable.

Familiarity with plant control and point of sale systems preferable.

Preferences

Must have strong technical skills

Must be able to work and interact with individuals at many levels within the organization as well as with vendors and other service providers.

Ability to travel as required

Valid driver’s license a must.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Be a self starter and have a strong desire for continued professional development. Be able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment

Be able to communicate ideas and solutions effectively.
