The Plant and Process Design Engineer will work with stakeholders across divisions during start-up processes for new facilities, equipment and product lines. Work directly with vendors developing specifications and AFEs for capital asset acquisitions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.Work with engineering and quality disciplines to integrate and develop process control and capable systems
2.Assist in the conduct of process and offline experiments
3.Participate in the startup of new facilities, equipment and machinery
4.Work with other disciplines to resolve problems, implement operating procedures and provide technical information
5.Assist in developing new customer product design proposals, specifications and cost analysis
6.Specify system components to ensure conformance with engineering design and specifications
7.Participate and support the New Product Initiative
8.Research, design, evaluate, install and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet specified requirements and as a result of applying engineering principles and concepts
9.Investigate equipment/process failures and diagnose and make associated recommendations
10.Design and implement cost-effective equipment and product design to improve process efficiency
11.Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs
12.Discuss, problem solve and liaise with other departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers
13.Assist in supplier product and process qualification including tooling and new product design.
14.Work with vendors to develop specifications and AFEs for capital asset acquisitions.
