Career Track Overview:
Thoroughly read and follow ticket instructions for color specifications, required printing process and job layout.
Responsible for maintaining a daily inventory level of all 40” and 73” plate media.
Maintains a correct medial linearization for all plate media. Checks and corrects Media Linearization curve as necessary.
Maintains Plate Processor. Changes Chemistry based on set cycle. Cleans processor at the time of a Chemistry Change. Checks and re-sets scrub levels as needed.
Applies correct plate curves for each job based on it’s print requirements. Checks plates for proper curve application with ICPlate II Densitometer. Checks plates for defects before and after processing. Checks plates for content and corruption.
Verifies all proofs accompanying plates being made are signed off by 1 Prepress employee and 1CSR.
Cleans-up and keeps work area neat and orderly.
Log ALL plate usage into PSI.
Performs other duties as requested.
- 2+ years experience within a high-quality commercial printing facility.
- Must be knowledgeable of both sheet-fed and digital printing processes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
- Drug-test and background check required.
