Description
This Platform Development Manger role is a lead position for the New Account Servicing Portal (NASP). The person in this role will be responsible for providing consulting/advice, governance, and subject matter expertise to drive business capability, integration capability, technical feasibility, and functional design. The Platform Development Manger will lead activities to research and prototype innovative technology solutions by working with the architecture team. Based on in-depth business and technical knowledge, will work with development teams to ensure that the business, technical, and testing requirements are adequately defined and documented. Will assist with identifying resource requirements with an emphasis on building a global team.

* Leads the analysis of business requirements versus platform capabilities by utilizing knowledge of the business area and platform supported
* Works with architects to ensure alignment with enterprise-level strategy
* Utilizes modeling techniques (for example, business process, data, event) to discover and clarify functional and data requirements
* Leverages understanding of marketplace trends, competitor strategies, architecture, and technology strategies to bring competitive solutions to the business
* Works with the business to understand and determine system implications in terms of the platform and business processes
* Works with business and delivery teams to develop and evaluate the business objectives and supporting business case
* Works closely with Project Management, providing input during project planning (resource requirements, development estimates, etc.) and throughout the development lifecycle to ensure business objectives are met
* Proactively anticipates project risks and issues, and ensures adequate mitigation efforts are put in place to ensure overall delivery is not compromised
* Provides consultancy to business users in preparing test scenarios/cases, and undertakes review of test plans to ensure quality delivery

Qualifications

Strong/proven experience with all aspects of new account servicing, new account systems, and technical analysis/programming, incorporating:

* 5+ years of technology experience
* Experience supporting large/complex platforms (groups of applications) within a functional domain
* Experience using a systems analysis and design methodology
* Experience using a variety of software languages (Java, Cobol, IMS DB/DC, SQL Store Procedures, etc.)
* Conceptual architecture knowledge
* An understanding of industry trends and tools (e.g., Datapower, SOA, webservices)
* May require experience with application design, configuration, and integration of third-party software products
*
Typically holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or has equivalent work experience
