Point - of - Sale (POS) Help Desk - L1 Analyst Summary of Point - of - Sale (POS) Help Desk - L1 Analyst:The Point-of-Sale (POS) Help Desk Level 1 Agent provides 24x7 hardware, software, and some network support for its customers, which includes troubleshooting and resolving or escalating issues regarding a variety of Retail POS equipment. Level 1 agents will support and maintain several styles of Retail POS from small 'convenience store' or 'gas stations' environments to large 'grocery and department store' environments.Responsibilities of Point - of - Sale (POS) Help Desk - L1 Analyst: Respond to telephone calls for technical support in a timely manner and have the ability to explain technical situations to non-technical individuals Clearly document the incidents/issues, and troubleshooting steps taken into an incident management system Identify, research, and resolve technical issues and escalate issues to other support teams when necessary Work in a fast-paced environment, able to adapt to frequent change and be able to work a flexible schedule Work with diverse groups and individuals to meet goals/SLAs, establish priorities, and solve complex issues
Point - of - Sale (POS) Help Desk - L1 Analyst Requirements for Point - of - Sale (POS) Help Desk - L1 Analyst: Must have Level 1 knowledge of RETAIL POINT OF SALE environments, concepts and software Experience with Unix, Linux, and MYSQL would be a major plus Solid understanding of basic RETAIL POINT OF SALE hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, and network components and concepts Ability to provide support to end users on a variety of hardware and software topics relating to RETAIL POINT OF SALE equipment Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Self-motivated, and possess a high level of personal accountability Ability to follow detailed instructions or tasks as directed Strong problem solving/analytical abilities Strong commitment to quality customer service Ability to work independently as well as willing to follow direction and best practices Regularly demonstrates initiative in supporting the customer outside of expected job assignments Attention to detail and ability to multi-task Candidates must also be able to work any shift, holidays, and weekends Mandatory: All candidates must be US Citizen to be considered for selection Selected candidate(s) must pass a National Agency Check in order to obtain a Security Clearance (NACI)
