Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under general supervision, the Police Clerk Typist will be assigned to the Bureau of Administration and Technology, Mail Room. Applicants will be responsible for the receipt and delivery of departmental and U.S. postal mail throughout the department and City Hall; will process all outgoing mail and accept deliveries to building. Performs related duties as required.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
Applicants must have at least two (2) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, paid professional experience in administrative office work. It is strongly preferred that all applicants have experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Must be able to exercise good judgement and focus on detail as required by the job.
All applicants must have a current, valid Mass. Driver's License and a good driving record.
A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK WILL BE CONDUCTED ON ALL APPLICANTS.
A PRE-EMPLOYMENT DRUG TEST IS REQUIRED.
BOSTON RESIDENCY REQUIRED.
