This position will be closed to TECO internal team members on January 29, 2013 . It may stay open later or close earlier for external candidates.

The salary range on this position varies from $62,166 to 92,007 and is commensurate with skills, experience, and education.

POSITION CONCEPT:

The overall objective of the Policy Analyst position is to enhance and strengthen the companys policy infrastructure for state and federal programs, and to ensure policies are consistent with federal, state, local and contractual obligations. This position provides analytical and technical support in the development of the companys energy policy objectives and initiatives and supports team members on related projects. Support of these efforts includes coordinating and assisting cross functional teams to identify, prioritize and communicate key energy policy issues through relevant research, analysis and reporting. The position also provides support related to the companys sustainability efforts.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

Required:
  • For Policy Analyst position, a minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in related energy and regulatory policy issues and/or in the electrical utility field with a good understanding of utility operations and planning functions required. For Senior Policy Analyst position, a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, as described above, is required.
  • A Bachelors Degree, from an institution accredited by the Commissions on Colleges, in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business or related area of study.
