This position will be part of an application development team supporting all US banner intranet sites and related intranet applications hosted on WebSphere Portal 7.x/8.x platform. Interacts with application development team and advises, mentors, designs, develops and supports WebSphere Portal and WCM solutions.
•IBM Certified Application Developer - Web Content Manager 7x or 8x.
•Solid knowledge of and experience designing, and developing Web services.
•Solid knowledge of and experience with key Service Programming (SPI) and Application Programming Interfaces (API).
•Solid understanding of WebSphere Portal Application with a minimum of 5 years of experience on the installation, support, development of WebSphere Portal.
•Solid understanding of IBM Web Content Management (WCM) with content served via Websphere Portal.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related discipline.
•3 to 5yrs of application development experience.
•Overall information technology experience: 5+ Yrs
•IBM Certified Solution Developer - WebSphere Portal 7x or 8x.
•WebSphere Application Server 7 experience or greater.
•Experience with portal application design, planning, development, installation, configuration, support and ongoing maintenance of the WebSphere Portal 8.x application.
•Develops and supports WebSphere Portal portlet services and portlet content personalization.
•Develops Web Applications or User Interfaces using Java/J2EE technologies.
•Develops themes, skins, JSR 286 portlets, WCM templates, WCM workflows.
•Develops plans and performs general application unit and integration testing to include: testing and debugging of portlets, deploying portlets/pages and troubleshooting portlet applications.
•Works with development team to define, scope, and design, Portal technology solutions.
•Participates in development and support of WebSphere WCM/Portal projects from conception through successful release.
•Participates in rotating on-call tier II support for team applications and WebSphere Portal to meet all business SLAs.
•Works with Information Technology professionals across the organization in support of web applications development and site enhancement activities.
•Well versed in web application security and ability to work with security professionals to insure a secure web application platform.
