Job Summary

Healthpoint currently has an internship opportunity in Fort Worth, TX. The Portfolio Development intern will be exposed to all of the functions of a portfolio development department and this role will allow the intern to develop the foundational skills of a strategic business partner.

Summary of Essential Functions

The intern will be responsible for conducting competitive analysis on companies, technologies, and market segments in the US and Europe for biological treatments for chronic wounds. Under the direction and guidance of the Director of Portfolio Development, the primary activities of this position will involve conducting desktop research, preparing market overviews, and updating financial models. This will include creation of graphics and charts representing the data and consolidation into presentation format. The intern will collaborate with outside consultants as well as the Market Research Department to obtain epidemiological data and interface with the Finance Department to generate analytical models for defined technologies. These models will be used for product and business opportunity evaluations. A specific project for the summer will entail centralizing all Portfolio Development documents into a searchable database. This will involve developing a hierarchy for file archiving and identifying methods for searching and extracting data. At the conclusion of the project, the intern will present an overview of the project, process, and findings to internal staff.

Minimum Requirements

Currently pursuing Masters Degree in Finance, Marketing or Supply Chain.

Completed first year of MBA.

Experience with Microsoft office suite package.
