Portfolio Management:
  • Meet with partners to develop, review and maintain Investment Policy Statements for each client account
  • Meet regularly with partners to review their accounts including investment objectives as well as account-specific needs and constraints
  • Run client accounts against the appropriate asset allocation models quarterly
  • Develop portfolio recommendations based upon investment models, tax considerations, and individual client needs and objectives; review with partners and senior investment personnel as necessary
  • Provide support to partners and senior investment personnel in all phases of the investment process; respond to ad hoc requests, including requests for analysis, information or special portfolio projects
  • Monitor reports generated through investment compliance tools and review exceptions with partners, the Director of Trust & Tax Services, and senior investment personnel as necessary to resolve; document resolutions
  • Handle communications concerning investment recommendations for "shared" responsibility accounts
  • Meet with current clients as called upon by the partner trustees to review and discuss investment matters
  • Utilize other personnel through appropriate delegation of portfolio management tasks
Service Provider Interaction:
  • Coordinate meetings and communications with investment advisors
  • Incorporate recommended asset allocation, mutual funds, and separate account managers into investment models and materials\
  • Maintain investment section of Private Client Group infoNet site
New Business Development:
  • Put together information for prospects to support partners and others involved in business development efforts
  • Participate in meetings with prospects as requested
  • Serve as a back-up to the trading function for illness, vacations, etc.
  • Interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including attorneys, management, staff, and technical support
  • Anticipate and discuss issues with colleagues
  • Respond promptly and positively to shifting demands and opportunities
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple, detailed tasks
  • Work well within a teamwork/collaborative environment
  • Communicate effectively and share information, goals, opportunities, successes and areas for improvement with all appropriate parties
  • Possess the necessary skill sets to plan, organize, manage and/or carry out multiple related activities
  • Operate effectively in a matrix management environment
  • Work within a multi-office environment
  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in the investment management field
  • Advanced degree/CFA a plus
  • Demonstrably good organization, project management and communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of capital markets and exposure to alternative investments
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Broad understanding of the business aspects of the Private Client Group necessary to successfully blend business needs with investment tools and day-to-day activities
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to use effectively portfolio management systems and applications
Additional Information:

Full time position in a normal office environment. Incumbent is expected to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, whether in her/his primary office location or, where necessary and practical, from a remote location.
