Job Description Summary:

The positioning products support specialist is responsible for providing technical support and training for the full-line of positioning and machine control products to customers and co-workers. Position involves customer interaction and technical support throughout the entire process of sales development, product demonstrations, quoting, order fulfillment, product support, training and follow-up. Position requires customer service skills as well as knowledge of positioning and machine control product applications.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service at all times with existing and new accounts, as well as with internal customers.
  • Demonstrate positioning and machine control products utilizing Admar demo equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair positioning equipment.
  • Provide telephone support to customers and co-workers.
  • Train customers and Admar staff on use of equipment and software.
  • Provide end-user training at time of purchase and follow-up training as needed and requested by customer(s).
  • Create training collateral materials. Perform training classes.
  • Attend training seminars and dealer meetings. Study all relevant training materials.
  • Review TOPCON and competitor websites frequently for product updates. Communicate product information to the sales force and management.
  • Coordinate with service department and positioning repair department on equipment installation and repair.
  • Provide management with weekly and daily activity reports.
  • Work with territory sales reps, branch managers and positioning sales reps to set joint sales calls to establish relationships with top positioning and machine control products prospects and customers.
  • Participate in trade shows and trade association meetings.
  • Demonstrate positioning and machine control products utilizing Admar demo equipment.
  • Follow-up with customers and prospects to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Maintain knowledge of all positioning products and specifications.
  • Process all necessary paperwork, passing it on to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain excellent organization of customer information, orders, past customer documentation and training.

Additional Responsibilities :
  • Coordinate with service department and laser repair department to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Troubleshoot and provide support internally and externally as required.
  • Assist purchasing manager with PO’s, orders, etc.
  • Provide management with feedback on market conditions, recommended changes, potential innovations, and contribute to the overall improvement of the company operations.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical training and/or experience with survey equipment, lasers and GPS products is highly desirable. Good communication skills are required, must be able to interact well with customers, co-workers and managers.

Prior experience with positioning equipment and technology is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills are required.
