Supervise the patient flow, dental assistants and all patient documentation for Autism grant and non-grant patients.
Essential Job Functions:

Supervise the residents to insure that all patients assigned to them are being seen on a timely basis. 2. Supervise the dental assistants to insure punctuality, cleanliness and adherence to all infection control, OSHA, HIPAA and other local, state and federal guidelines and regulations. 3. Act as Patient Advocate in aiding to resolve any conflicts regarding treatment or charges. 4. Meet with all residents on a time defined schedule to insure that they are working with the appropriate number of patients, that no patients are being delayed in treatment and that treatment is being completed on a timely basis. 5. Supervise and monitor the residents in the maintenance, distribution and completion of all patient charts, including the posting of charges, payments and balances. 6. Supervise staffing and any rotation of the dental assistants in the individual clinic. 7. Supervise the ordering and availability of all dental supplies. 8. Review patient charts and compile data on student progress. 9. Control and confirm all patient appointments of the residents. 10. Insure that all residents and clinical staff have a working knowledge of the clinic management system (Axium) and the college's dental protocol, including, but not limited to, emergency procedures, incident reporting and patient rights. 11. Maintain a message log for all residents and confirm that all patient calls have been satisfactorily returned. 12. Perform any and all duties in the clinic with the resident to insure that the clinic is working in a clean and orderly manner. 13. Stay appraised of activities occurring and planned in the department. 14. Other duties as assigned.
Marginal Job Functions:
1. Assist the Dean, the Dean for Clinic Affairs, the Clinic Director and the Supervisor for Post Graduate Clinic Administration as required. 2. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. The ability to analyze facts, exercise judgment and arrive at valid conclusions. 2. The ability to proficiently use and be familiar with word processing spreadsheet software.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Major (if required):
A minimum of three years experience in progressively responsible clerical or administrative duties.
1. Computer skills. 2. Bilingual. 3. Experience in the use of dental computer administrative programs.
