The Program in Jewish Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship. The appointment will be for the academic year 2013/14, with renewal possible for 2014/15. Candidates must hold a PhD by July 1, 2013, and must have received it no earlier than 2008. Scholars from all fields of Jewish Studies will be considered.
The teaching load will be one course per semester, including a survey course in Jewish Studies and a course in the candidate's field of interest. The fellow is also expected to contribute to our outreach program. The annual stipend will be $40,000 plus benefits.
