Post Doctoral Research Associate position available immediately on a recently funded basic and translational research project in prostate cancer. This is a joint research project between investigators at the University of the District of Columbia and the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University. The goal of the project is to characterize miRNAs as biomarkers and elucidate the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in promotion and prevention of prostate cancer. Applicants must have a Ph.D.
or equivalent degree in cancer biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or other related fields. Experience in cancer biology, specifically, genomics, proteomics, cell culture, cell transfection, molecular cloning, microRNA and siRNA is preferred. The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
