Job Responsibilities

This 1-2 year position is split between two NIMH-funded projects: the Autism Model of Implementation for ASD Providers (http://www.casrc.org/projects/atom/developing.html) and the Parent Participatory Engagement Project (http://www.casrc.org/projects/ntoz/ppep.html). The AMI study is focused on developing and pilot testing a systematic process to facilitate ASD community-based agencies to implement evidence-based practices. The PPEP study is focused on refining and implementing a pilot study of a parent participation intervention in community-based outpatient mental health settings. The candidated selected for this position will provide assistance with the following (for both projects): developing and refining intervention materials; project coordination and IRB protocol submissions; supervising RAs and interns; assisting with recruitment; supporting training efforts in intervention piloting; developing fidelity coding; data analysis for publications and presentations; supporting additional grant writing.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree in clinical psychology or related field

Clinical and/or research experience with evidence-based practices for children and families, such as disruptive behavior problems or ASD

Preferred Experience/Special Skills

Preferred experience in the following: clinical and/or research experience in community-based social services settings for children and families, such as disruptive behavior problems or ASD; qualitative research experience and experience managing qualitative data using NVivo (or comparable program); experience coordinating psychological research with human subjects, including writing IRB protocols; clinical or research focus on staff training, quality improvement, or implementation of evidence-based practices; quantitative research experience, including managing survey data using SPSS or SAS; experience in intervention development and evaluation, including materials and research design; experience with federally-funded grant applications; experience designing and conducting randomized, controlled trials

Working Conditions

Indoor office environment The projects are located at the same research center, and the time worked will be split equally between the two projects The research center is located in a hospital that requires background checks, drug testing, and regular TB tests and Flu shots.
