The Scientific Computation Research Center (www.scorec.rpi.edu) is seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral research associate to develop evolving geometry and adaptive unstructured mesh methods on massively parallel computers.

The successful candidate will develop and implement evolving geometry and adaptive meshing functionalities on massively parallel computers. The successful candidate must be able to interact with faculty and students from various departments that will be associated with the development of specific complex applications. The successful candidate will also be required to interact with sponsors.

Qualifications:

PhD in Computer/Computational Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related engineering or science discipline

Expertise in parallel geometry/mesh representations

Experience in parallel programming

Strong knowledge of C++ programming languages and UNIX operating system is required
