The Power Marketing Analyst will support new solar power contract efforts and the management of current contracted accounts for U.S. Utility projects. He/She will assist Sales Managers in the growth of our client portfolios and project pipelines. The Analyst will use financial analysis, problem solving and quantitative skills to develop compelling value propositions for use internally and for our utility customers. The Analyst will receive significant exposure to Senior Management within SunEdison, and be in a position to influence the strategy of the company as well as the procurement process of various utilities.

  • Develop and manage incoming utility sales leads
  • Drive pipeline and backlog reporting processes
  • Build and manage Utility project financial models
  • Assess economic viability of development assets and PPA proposals
  • Evaluate new market opportunities and new approaches to existing markets
  • Propose ways to increase project revenue streams or reduce system costs
  • Support Sales Managers during contract negotiations
  • Prepare client presentations and proposals, including analysis
  • Operate cross-functionally with coworkers in Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations and Development to thoroughly understand financial, electrical and physical project characteristics
  • Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities to improve existing or develop new systems and structures
  • Design and prepare financial reports, forecasts and project portfolio status reports
  • Run due diligence on new customers and business opportunities

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's Degree preferred, MBA ideal
  • Project management and financial modeling experience
  • Strong computational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written English
  • Strong ability defining customer value proposition
  • Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage diverse relationships and multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Creativity and critical thinking skills to tackle a variety of challenges from the industry level to client-specific
  • Advanced Excel skills, familiarity with Word and PowerPoint
  • Solar or renewable energy industry experience a plus
