The Practice Administrator reports to the Vice President Medical Affairs Carteret General Hospital.

The Practice Administrator will provide collaborative leadership in the ongoing development, implementation and overall financial and clinical management of the Carteret Medical Group; Provide business and financial management for the CGH Hospitalist service; CGH Urgent Care and the Cancer Services. This individual works collaboratively with the Physicians and providers to extablish and implement the goals of the organization, ensure consistent standards of practice to achieve operational excellence; manage xpenses via the specific practice budger, ensure the practice is consistent with Carteret General Hospital policies and procedures/standards of care/approved protocols/standing orders.

Must demonstrate success in growing and developing an employed physician model practice within a health system; Experience working in physician-led, integrated healthcare delivery organization. Demonstrated success developing and implementing operations plans within a physician practice. Knowledge and experience in developing various physician compensation plans, incentivies and contracting arrangements.

Qualifications: Multi-specialty experience and practice management certification (i.e., CMPE) is preferred. Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. Two to five years experience with progressive advancement in leadership positions in physician practice operations is required; Experience with direct management responsibilities in a community hospital environment is preferred; Multi-specialy experience is highly desired; Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated by the ability to effectively present information to Board members, the executive team, physicians, and staff. Ability to understand and successfully maneuver through the complexities of physician billings, financial accounting, and operations.
