Responsibilities include management of physician relationships, all non-provider staff, practice revenue cycle, Site-Specific Action Plans, physical plant operations, education and training, supply inventory, and all outside vendors on issues of 4-7 provider practice. Along with this authority comes the responsibility of the bottom line performance of the assigned practice. Additionally, this position coordinates all activities of the medical office and promotes an efficient, harmonious work environment by maintaining knowledge of all office operations.
A. Education & Training: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
B. Work Experience: Must have at least five (5) years of practice management experience. Familiarity with the regional market preferred.
C. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Excellent management, verbal/written and organizational skills; experience in and knowledge of medical office operations, billing and finance. Ability to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner. Ability to perform and instruct/train others in essential medical office. Filing patient statements and insurance claims, posting insurance claims, researching and correcting claim denials
D. Strong organizational and time management skills.
E. Working knowledge of medical terminology, practice computer systems and software, insurance, medical/legal issues relevant to the practice, accounts receivable management and coding.
