Services the account and builds relationships to maintain members or grow membership within companies during open enrollment; develops strategies to increase member loyalty. Serves as liaison between employers/brokers/consultants and the internal operations staff for the plan, communicating benefits, claims costs and experience ratings. Also services the account on a day-to-day basis for issues regarding billing, claims, and eligibility.
Enrolls new business and provides service to existing accounts
Responds to customer concerns and issues, identifies trends and serves as a liaison with Blue Shield for client needs. Follows up with internal sources to ensure resolution of claims and service problems
Conducts administrative meeting to various groups; responds to questions and explains Blue Shield benefits, products, services, policies and procedures
Makes sales calls and follows up with groups, brokers or agents as appropriate
Develops special handling procedures for groups or accounts with unique service requirements
Trains team members and clients on specific billing, claims and service procedures
Job Required Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Life Insurance license is required
Valid California driver's license and proof of insurance is required
Minimum Experience Level:
Typically requires 2-4 years experience, preferably in sales, marketing or health plan administration
