We currently have an exceptional opportunity available for Premium Auditor. The Premium Auditor is an integral player in ensuring the continued integrity of the Nautilus Premium Accounting Department. Consider joining our team as a Premium Auditor and developing your career.
Responsibilities of a Premium Auditor include, but are not limited to:
Conducting internal mail audits by obtaining needed information directly from the insureds; creating audit spreadsheets detailing correct exposures for all classifications by reviewing federal and state payroll reports, financial statements, and other payroll and sales reporting documents to assist in meeting unit production goals.
Reviewing dispute information received from general agents, insureds or producers who are contesting an audit; analyzing the submitted information for relevance and appropriate documentation by interpreting financial statements, federal tax returns, workers compensation audits, quarterly reports and state unemployment records; deciding if dispute information is valid to warrant a revision; communicating directly with insured’s and their representatives to resolve audit disputes and premium due the Company.
Communicating with all internal and external customers regarding exposures, classification changes or general auditing procedure questions pertaining to mail, telephone or physical audits with concerns that arise.
Summarizing and providing feedback to underwriters and agents outlining audit results obtained on interim or mid-term audits.
Providing back up to associate auditors to include completing vendor and estimated audits and working all letter queues as needed.
Providing support to all interdepartmental personnel as requested or assigned.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Completing special projects assigned by management.
All candidates must have working knowledge of the Bureau rating process, including proper application of ISO rules and policy issuance procedures along with the ability to create audit spreadsheets detailing correct exposures for all classifications by reviewing and understanding federal and state payroll reports, financial statements, and other payroll and sales reporting documents.
- A degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- A minimum of 3 years insurance-related experience or training to include basic knowledge of insurance policy and premium transactions.
- APA, AIS, AAI, ASLI, CPCU or other insurance related classes (recommended.)
- A background in Excess and Surplus lines (beneficial.)
