The position of Prep Cook requires the candidate to learn and understand all aspects of the kitchen regarding food preparation, dietary guidelines and sanitation. The Prep Cook must be aware of time demands necessary when serving guests while adhering to ServSafe training. The Prep Cook will be required to work varying hours throughout a five day work week (Monday-Friday), excluding holidays, and be prepared for work at scheduled times.

The Prep Cook should have the ability to follow direction from the Executive Chef and Assistant Chef without reinterpretation. All tasks assigned must be completed within the given time frame.

Essential Job Functions:
Prepare daily food preparation tasks
Assist in stocking/organizing received orders, taking FIFO into consideration
Maintain sanitation and personal hygiene at all times
Assist in kitchen clean up at the end of each shift
Adhere to dietary guidelines set as standard by the Executive Chef

Non-essential Job Functions:
Understand company’s core values
Polite and professional in front of guests
Be courteous to fellow kitchen staff

Requirements:
ServSafe certificate
Company training

Other Skills/Abilities:
Knife skills
Equipment use knowledge
Communication skills
General math skills (recipe reduction/expansion)
