Primarily responsible for front and/or back of the house duties, including, but not limited to, food and beverage preparation, customer service, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities may include any of the following:

Back of the House – food preparation and maintaining daily fresh food for customer self-service areas
  • Determine produce needs for par sheet needs/orders
  • Cut fruit and vegetables for breakfast/salad bars and food prep needs for menus
  • Prepare all cut fruit needs for Food Service and Produce Departments
  • Set, maintain, and pull Breakfast Bar
  • Prepare parfaits
  • Set, maintain, and pull Salad Bar
  • Rotisserie Chicken: check par list, spear, roast, pack, and display chickens
  • Check daily soup menu and drop soups
  • Check daily Hot Bar menu and heat food
  • Set, maintain, and pull Hot Bar (to include temperature monitoring)
  • Prepare and stock Grab and Go items, according to manager’s prep log
  • Check sandwich bread par levels and slack bread
  • Check sandwich meat, cheese, and vegetable production sheets and slice/portion accordingly
  • Open, service, and close sandwich making station (grill)
  • Pull pizza dough balls and prepare pizza station for productions, to includes sauce, cheese, toppings
  • Roast vegetables for pizzas
  • Perform closing walk as assigned
Front of the House – customer service in multiple areas of department and limited food preparation for customer orders
  • Provide customer service at juice/coffee bar, to include making smoothies, maintaining juice bar back stock, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment
  • Provide customer service at bakery counter, to include case, bread shelf and floor maintenance
  • Provide customer service at deli counter, to include opening, maintaining product levels, cleaning case, and closing duties.
  • Open, service, and close sandwich making station (grill)
  • Maintain and operate pizza oven
  • Participate in scheduled inventory counts
  • Attend required department and storewide meetings
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including sanitation, equipment usage, reporting equipment failure, and personal behavior
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related functions as assigned
Required Skills
  • Must demonstrate excellent customer service, with Team Members and customers
  • Must be a teamplayer and willing to help others when operational/customer needs require
  • Ability to read and follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Must be organized and demonstrate attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a frequent basis
  • Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and handle with hands/fingers on a constant basis
  • Must demonstrate manual dexterity with potentially hazardous equipment (knives, slicers, blenders, ovens, grills, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to extreme temperatures, odors, fumes, smoke, loud noise
  • Expectation to adhere to workplace safety procedures due to job-related hazards, including, but not limited to, exposure to sharp objects, burns, and slips.
  • Previous experience in food and beverage preparation preferred
