Child Program and Family Resource Center (CPFRC) is a nonprofit early childhood education program managed and operated by Parsons Child and Family Center. The program serves low-income children and their families in and around Schenectady County.
Maintain preschool students in early childhood learning environment; provide for care, learning, safety, and positive interactions.
Plan and carry out Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) for each child in the Special Education Program
Supervise classroom personnel assigned to assist with daily group activities
Plan and conduct the daily program for a group of children in the special education program which takes into account the educational, social, developmental and health needs of the group, as well as the individual child.
Maintain an environment which promotes growth and development of children and also includes positive interactions with children.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with parents.
BA Degree in Special Education, Masters preferred
NYS certification in special education or subject area required
Experience working with developmentally delayed toddlers/ preschoolers preferred.
