The Trustees of Columbia College ( http://www.ccis.edu/ ) announce the search for the next president of the College.
The successful candidate for one of the most desirable higher education leadership opportunities in the country will succeed the 16th president, Dr. Gerald T. Brouder, who will retire August 1, 2013.
Based in Columbia, Missouri, Columbia College is a remarkable and unique educational institution. Its daytime/resident campus is an idyllic small college serving more than 800 students, and the College also serves more than 30,000 additional students through its network of 35 campuses nationwide, in its evening and graduate programs, and through its online offerings. Its 23 online degree programs, with more than 800 online courses, alone serve some 24,000 students each year. All of the Colleges programs are fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commissions North Central Association. Although Columbia College has retained a covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) since its founding, it is a nonsectarian school welcoming all qualified students.
For eight consecutive years, Columbia College has been rated in the top tier of Americas Best Colleges by US News & World Report and is listed among the Great Schools at a Great Price. Princeton Review named Columbia College a Best Midwestern College in 2012.
