The Strategic Pricing Analyst will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven guidelines and tools for the Unity Lab Services (ULS) business unit. The Strategic Analyst will also provide analysis and technical support for pricing initiatives including: customer specific differential pricing, analyses of competitive quotes and strategies for product pull-through.
Identify, validate, and quantify new costing and pricing improvement opportunities across the entire ULS service portfolio. Maintain and track a pipeline of improvement opportunities and manage the progress in the pipeline
Augments existing and drives the development of incremental data-driven pricing guidelines/tools for ULS
Provide analysis and technical support for costing and pricing initiatives that includes customer specific differential pricing, analyses of competitive quotes, list prices, and strategies for product pull-through
Support the development and refinement of tools, policies, and procedures that enhance existing performance, including tools in SQL, excel, other platforms (as needed) to help guide Program Development (PD) in setting strategic prices in the market, implement pricing improvement programs, and track financial impact.
Maintain strong communication within Program Development, GSP, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
Determine new service offerings while optimizing price and value. Work closely with marketing, product management and finance teams to determine optimal launch price.
Perform ad hoc data analysis for business units around customer, products and vendors dynamics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, operations, mathematics or a scientific field. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of work experience in pricing or related field
Strong commercial orientation with a balance of pricing and strategic business management capabilities. A passion for understanding costing/pricing strategies and execution methodologies in a service and/or manufacturing business
Excellent analytical capabilities including Excel and relational database skills. Experience with in-depth financial modeling as well as demonstrated analytical and statistical problem solving skills, including data handling and use of relational database
Prior experience working in large corporate environment or a diversified, complex organization is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable operating within a matrix structure.
