Direct and manage the Supply Chain Planning Organization of Medtronic for Latin America. The position is responsible to develop the long term plan of action designed to achieve and measure he planning organization vision.
Will lead cross-functional teams to implement and orchestrate the S&OP process across Latin America. Frequent application of demand planning principles, theories and concepts is required.
Monitor and execute the demand, supply and inventory planning operations in order to enable the company objectives for growth and profitability.
Orchestrate the monthly Latin America S&OP liaising with Global Supply Chain, Latin America Marketing and Region Supply Chain
Coordinating the key planning activities in the region: demand planning, supply planning, new product launch planning, inventory target setting, inventory allocation and material master maintenance
Build a high performing supply chain planning team through active talent recruitment, development and retention
Diagnose service level failures and excesses to inventory objectives and ensure corrective actions are taken to remediate the prevent reoccurrence
Report and maintain worldwide KPIs. Perform analysis, including initiation, coordination and execution of recovery plan metrics fall below goals
Determine voice of internal and external customers to adequately prioritize, integrate and implement short and long term product fulfillment strategies
Sustain performance by clearly defining responsibilities, empowering team members to fulfill these responsibilities, tracking progress, providing feedback, and holding them accountable for meeting agreed-upon goals
Determine inventory policy throughout Latin America and ensure proper inventory targets setting in alignment with the Region Supply Chain Supervisors, Sales Managers and Latin America Marketing
Facilitate and accelerate cross-functional and business integration to enhance the planning activities such as inventory management, new product launch planning and execution
Lead cross-functional process improvement projects
Performance other related duties as assigned
Travel requirements: 25-50%
Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or other related disciplines
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (read, write, speak)
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
5+ years of work experience and proven business analysis experience within a planning and/or supply chain environment
Work experience in demand and supply planning with knowledge of advanced practices in supply chain and inventory planning
Experience working in a multinational environment
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Demonstrate data analysis skill
Excellent leadership and people management skills and ability to create a winning team
Results and goal oriented (driving to deadlines, performance targets, project goals, etc.)
Advance project management and leadership skills
Proficiency with supply chain management application, SAP and APO
Ability to anticipate and meet deadlines, handling multiple simultaneous deadlines, prioritizing work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to retain confidential information.
Strong proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Must be customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently
Prior experience in fast-paced office with multiple priorities.
Excellent presentations skills.
Responsive, action-oriented and innovative problem solver
MBA/MSc in Supply Chain or related field
Prior experience with Latin American Region
Prior experience in with companies in the medical industry or similar regulated industry
