At almost every point in the med use process, safety and efficiency can be increased with the comprehensive capabilities of the Pyxis® medication management system.


As a Senior Principle Hardware Test Engineer, you have the opportunity to accelerate the delivery and improve the quality of CareFusion products. You will be responsible for designing and implementing a test infrastructure, creating and reinforcing good engineering practices for various CareFusion products.
Your primary responsibility as a Hardware Test Engineer will be to work with the development and test engineering teams to create new testing capabilities, to automate testing, implement new automation tools and create innovative automated test systems. These test systems explore and validate the functional correctness and performance capabilities of our hardware and software, as well as their interaction with other CareFusion systems and architecture.
What is expected of you for success in your role

Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Test Engineering principles, current technologies, and product platform test techniquesHas in-depth experience developing automated robotic testing systems - modular solutions that allow the required high cycle tests to be carried out in a rational and very reproducible way Independently or as a lead, utilizes CAD tools to create complex schematics and analyses
Independently designs and develops complex test software utilizing off-the-shelf commercial software test tools
Directs external resources/contractors as required
Has depth and breadth of experience in own job family; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities
Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and non-standard situations
Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment
Independently or as a lead develops, qualifies and documents complex test equipment and systems in accordance with GMP's, May lead teams or projects; shares expertise

Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent experience in related field required
4 years related work experience required
Ability to lead team toward operational objectives
Ability to train and coach others from technical expertise
Able to work extended hours in critical situations
High level of energy, initiative, and results driven personality
