Position Title: Principal Engineer
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Summary of Duties: Develop and implement new technology with new 3D device structure at 20 nm node and beyond. Work closely with process/module and device TCAD groups to implement integration flow/ recipes, debug yield issues/solutions, and perform failure analysis. Work independently and interface with other groups collaboratively for solving integration/process/device issues. Develop integration architecture and module processes for FinFET. Work with electrical and structural characterization of FinFET transistors and SRAM cells. Perform technology transfer to internal clients. Project manage the development to achieve a healthy process module that intercepts the overall technology schedule goals. Work with the early stages of technology definition to define technology requirements and parametric goals in line with microprocessor performance roadmap and product offerings. Work closely with other fabs to transfer the developed process to the manufacturing sites. Compile reports of the process details, including process flows and structural and recipe specifics to be shared with the manufacturing site. Support process bring-up in the manufacturing fab to ensure successful yield and product ramp for the technology.
Qualifications: Requires a Master's degree in Microelectronics, Engineering, Physics, or related engineering discipline plus three years of experience in the position offered or as an Engineer, Device Engineer, or Process Engineer. Will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in the listed fields plus 5 years of experience or a Ph.D. in the listed fields plus 1 year of experience in lieu of a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience. Also requires fundamental understanding of chemistry/physics of semiconductor physics and CMOS devices and working knowledge of CMOS processing/modules (deposition, thermal, etc) and familiarity with Fab procedures.
