Principal HR Representative



The role will be in the Human Resources organization in EP Energy, supporting the COO organization.

Incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing human resource initiatives in the Houston office. Job duties include: providing counsel and guidance to management and employees in all human resources matters, executing effective recruiting and selection practices to fill open positions, consulting with management on a variety of issues to include organization development initiatives, performance management, workforce planning, succession management, compensation planning, retention program development, policy administration. Position also ensures organizational compliance with federal, state and local legislation.

Incumbent should have at least 7 years of human resources generalist experience is required. Current knowledge of EEO/AA, employment and labor laws is required. Experience in the areas of staffing, compensation practices and employee relations is needed. Knowledge of health and welfare plans and 401K savings plan is also needed. Incumbent should be able to manage multiple priorities, possess strong problem identification and problem solving skills, have excellent analytical skills, demonstrate ability to influence and build solid business relationships as well as be an outstanding communicator with excellent interpersonal skills. Degree in HR, Management or Industrial Relations is highly desired. Energy experience is a plus. Travel to other work sites is required at times.
