As Principal Software Architect, you will lead the design effort on a variety of projects in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. Your role is to design innovative solutions to real market problems. You will define the strategy for a team of user interaction designers and software engineers to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones. You will work closely with product and marketing managers. This position reports to the Head of R&D.

Essential Responsibilities
• Leading the complete software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, code and unit test
• Leading the design of user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces
• Integrating internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience
• Creating prototypes and authoring detailed interaction specifications
• Working with user experience researchers to design and observe usability studies
• Translating usability and field research findings into design improvements
• Working with visual designers to improve and refine product visual design and consistency
• Successfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale
• Identify the appropriate software architecture based on the requirements and design elements contained in a system specification
• Provide supporting information to the Engineers to aid in the creation of a system specification
• Assist Software Designer/Implementers with the creation of detailed software design specifications
• Lead the review process for software architecture
• Comply with all applicable product development processes. Perform detailed software design as well as implements and/or maintains code according to duties and responsibilities
• Ensure the overall integrity of the software architecture and validates it against the system specification
• Integrate internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience
• Work with visual designers to improve and refine product visual design and consistency
• Bachelor's Degree in Science or technical related fields
• 8+ years experience leading large design efforts
* Leading and Coordinating project teams of 10 or more members
• Knowledge/familiar with user interaction design
• Ability to develop new approaches to complex design problems
• Familiarity with field and lab-based usability research methodologies
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must be willing to submit to a drug test and background check
• Must submit application for employment through to be considered
• Must be willing to travel

• Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form
