Asset Allocation Technology (AAT), a division of Fidelity Investment Management Technology, develops and supports research, portfolio construction and investment operation applications for the Asset Allocation Division (AAD). AAD is composed of five lines of business including account management (focuses upon minimizing tax liabilities), model management (portfolio growth), funds management (college savings, retirement savings), financial solutions (investment methodology for the tools on fidelity.com) and intermediary solutions (new business opportunities for AAD).
AAT is seeking a developer that will work directly with end users in Asset Allocation Division, in a fast-paced environment, anticipating delivery in the following forms: data and solution analysis, documentation, ad hoc and scheduled reporting. Delivery will also include developing macros, prototypes and other tools to facilitate business processes. Deep knowledge of the Spotfire BI application is a key requirement. The spotfire BI tool is the main tool used by the Investment Managers to analyze FPP accounts. These reports are constantly being adjusted and enhanced to incorporate new product features and investment management needs.

Education and Experience
Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Finance from an accredited college/university and at least 10 years demonstrated work experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience
6+ years software development experience delivering IT solutions in financial environment
6+ years SQL experience, preferably Oracle PL-SQL
6+ years formal BI reporting experience, and some familiarity with Tibco Spotfire or Oracle BI platform
3+ years VBA/Excel experience
Solid Linux/Unix administration skills
Applied knowledge and experience in portfolio management solution delivery
Delivery focused, self starter yet team player
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working directly with research analysts and investment managers
Experience with technology product development in the financial service industry, preferably portfolio management, trading and/or research applications
Exposure to agile product management and development practices in a fast paced environment

Domain Knowledge – must have an understanding of portfolio optimization techniques, quantitative methods and alpha and risk model analysis. Unified Managed Account (UMA) expertise from a business and/or technology perspective is a plus. The candidate must also have an in-depth understanding of the technology and software architecture needed to support the investment product.
